Warmest Day of the Year

You kids announced with absolute joy today that it was 'so hot' outside. You couldn't wait to get out and play so I held off school til later in the day because I'm such a nice mommy. It was likely 65ish degrees and it wasn't sunny but it wasn't snowing, raining or frigidly cold either. Plus it was the first time you were able to be outside with no jacket on!

The warmth had melted some of the ice around our house which created delightfully messy mud for you boys to play in and you got right to work creating 'bodies of water' and streams with dams (we got to use those geographical terms we had learned in school the day before).

Spring will be here soon and, although it's not consistently warm nor sunny, it will be nice to have a few more days like this mixed in.
